Commercial Case Study
Project Conversion of Dog & Partridge public house into a new medical centre.
Location Irlam, Salford
On this project we were required to completely strip out the existing pub and demolish
one wing of the building to make ready for the new 300m2, 2 story side extension.
The old cellar drop also had to be filled in as well as a complete new drainage system.
Two large underground fuel bunds had to be excavated and removed as the site was
previously a petrol station.
The extension had to be built on 65no steel cased mini piles as the ground was unstable
D&W brought in their own structural engineer to design and oversee the piling and
associated reinforced concrete founds floors and retaining walls. The job was completed
with all new kerbs and hard and soft landscaping.
We were sub contract ground workers, brickwork contractors and general site workers
under the principal contractors Planet Construction UK Ltd. The job was completed
on time and in budget.
